CARINE CELEBRATES MONTENEGRO’S STATEHOOD DAY: More Than Three Decades of Building and Creating New Value

On the occasion of 13 July, Montenegro’s Statehood Day, on behalf of our entire team, we extend our sincere congratulations to all citizens of Montenegro, with the hope that we celebrate this important national holiday with pride, unity, and confidence in the future of our country.

Montenegro’s Statehood Day is an opportunity to remember the values that generations before us created and defended – freedom, responsibility, hard work, perseverance, and faith in our own country.

It was precisely on these values that Carine was founded more than three decades ago. The company takes its name from the Carine katun on Mount Komovi, a place with which the Popović family has been connected for generations. This bond with our roots, nature, and tradition has remained an enduring part of the company’s business philosophy – to build for the long term, act responsibly, and believe in Montenegro’s potential.

Since its establishment in 1991, Carine has grown together with Montenegro. Throughout a period of profound change, we have remained what we were from the very beginning: a Montenegrin family-owned company that believes success is built through hard work, responsibility, and trust. Today, through tourism, hospitality, agriculture, and investment, we contribute to the development of Montenegro’s economy, job creation, and the continued enhancement of the country’s tourism offering.

Over more than three decades of operations, Carine has completed numerous projects, created new jobs, and invested in the development of Montenegro’s tourism sector. Herceg Novi and the Bay of Kotor hold a particularly important place in this journey, where the company’s investments have contributed to improving tourism capacities and strengthening the international recognition of this part of Montenegro.

We believe that a company’s success should not be measured solely by the results it achieves, but also by the positive impact it leaves on the communities in which it operates. For Carine, developing new projects is therefore just as important as supporting the local economy, cooperating with domestic partners, creating employment opportunities, and investing in the quality of life in the communities where we are present.

As a Montenegrin company, we are particularly proud to have been part of Montenegro’s development throughout all these years, sharing both its challenges and its successes, as well as the belief that long-term commitment can create lasting value. Our goal has never been simply to construct buildings, but to create value that will endure for generations and contribute to the country’s long-term development.

Today, as we undertake the largest investment cycle in the company’s history, we remain confident that Montenegro has the potential to become one of the most recognisable tourism destinations in the Mediterranean, and we are proud that our projects contribute to achieving that goal.

New projects, new investments, and new opportunities lie ahead. In a time that brings many challenges, we remain committed to the same principles on which our company was founded: responsibility, quality, respect for the law, the trust of our partners, and confidence in Montenegro’s future.

Our wish is to continue working together to build Montenegro as a country of prosperity, stability, and new opportunities for generations to come. We believe that hard work, responsibility, and love for one’s country will continue to form the foundation of its development in the years ahead.

Happy Statehood Day!
